Employed or self-employed?
Under EU law, the duty to download tachograph data rests with the transport undertaking – the company that operates the vehicle (Regulation (EU) No 165/2014, Article 33).
If you drive for an employer, the obligation rests with them – but keeping your own copies helps you check your hours and have your records ready if you ever change employer.
If you are self-employed or an owner-operator, you are also the transport undertaking and must download both driver card and vehicle unit data. TAGRA TRUCKER alone is not enough – you need at least TAGRA 1.

Downloaded a .DDD or .C1B file before? Install the free trial and load it. Full functionality for 30 days, no payment and no card details.
Then the reader is the missing piece – and it comes free with TAGRA TRUCKER. A reader on its own will not evaluate anything, though: the program does the work.

Do I need a USB card reader?
Yes, but you do not need to buy one separately. A USB card reader is included free with every TAGRA TRUCKER licence. You pay only a flat shipping fee of €9.90 incl. VAT anywhere in the EU.
How do I get data into the program?
Connect the USB reader, insert your card, and TAGRA TRUCKER downloads the driver card automatically. You can also import .DDD or .C1B files you have already downloaded elsewhere.
How often should I download my card?
The legal duty to download rests with the transport undertaking (Regulation (EU) No 165/2014, Article 33). The maximum download intervals are 28 days for the driver card and 90 days for the vehicle unit.
I am self-employed. Is TAGRA TRUCKER enough?
No. As a self-employed driver or owner-operator you are the transport undertaking, so you must download both driver card and vehicle unit data. You need at least TAGRA 1.
Does TAGRA TRUCKER work offline?
Yes. It works fully offline. Internet is only needed to download the installer and receive updates.
Is TAGRA TRUCKER ready for the July 2026 van obligation?
Yes. It is fully prepared for van drivers (2.5–3.5 t vehicles in international transport or cabotage) affected by the tachograph obligation from July 2026.
What happens after the first year?
The first year is included in the price. From year 2 the annual licence fee is €19 excl. VAT. You renew it directly from the program – it is not sold in this shop.
